The Department of Homeland Security has given the Undersecretary for Science and Technology’s Award for Outstanding Contractor Support to Battelle employee Gerald Weeks.
Weeks received the award for his work to help transition the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s big data pilot study into an operational environment in collaboration with a team of federal partners and contractors, Battelle said Thursday.
The team performed the work for the DHS Science and Technology Predictive Analytics Center under the Border Enforcement Analytics Program.
“BEAP… is a model for multi-disciplinary and an example of collaborative problem solving,” said Dave Doyle, manager of Battelle’s national protection programs.
